Club activity

Agility

Agility foundations and ongoing club activities for eligible members.

Agility combines teamwork, handling and movement through a course of obstacles. Club foundations focus on the skills that help members and dogs participate confidently.

Beginner courses are offered periodically. Expressions of interest and upcoming foundation classes are advertised through the club’s Facebook group.

The agility pathway

1

Complete the prerequisite

Canine College, or an accepted equivalent, is required before joining beginner agility. Canine College includes an introduction to the sport.

2

Learn the foundations

Experienced volunteer instructors introduce handling skills and help teams become familiar with the equipment used in agility.

3

Build experience

Members can continue developing their skills through club practice and, if interested, work towards competition.

Training schedule

Monday evening foundations

Agility runs on Monday evenings through scheduled foundation classes. These courses are not continuous, so members should watch for expressions of interest and confirmed dates.

Before attending: confirm the current session details through the club’s Facebook group or with the agility team.
